Victim of LAPD Car Crash to Receive $4.5 Million
The Los Angeles City Council approved a settlement this week for a Los Angeles area mother of two who was struck by a Los Angeles police car and badly injured. Sandra Griffin will receive $4.5 million in the settlement. Griffin was badly injured in the accident and was in a coma for a week. She suffered brain damage, broken bones and internal injuries.
Griffin was sitting in her car when the LAPD officer smashed into her. The officers car was speeding with it’s sirens and lights turned off. According to the LAPD, the officer swerved to avoid hitting another car that was blocking it’s path in the middle of an intersection.
