Warsaw Man in Serious Condition After Collision

A man suffered serious injuries after the vehicle he was driving hit a tree early Thursday morning south of Warsaw.

Doug C. Jones, of Warsaw, was driving an SUV eastbound on County Road 200 South when he failed to stop at the intersection with Country Club Road and lost control of his vehicle, striking a tree just after midnight Thursday, according to police.

Jones was extricated from his vehicle by emergency responders and he was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Jones suffered head and internal injuries and was in serious, but stable condition.

The accident is under investigation.
