White-Out Conditions Cause Three-Vehicle Accident
A three-car accident in the Town of Columbia occurred in result of white-out conditions due to harsh winter weather Monday.
A Honda Accord was traveling on State Route 28 in New York when the Accord began to slow because of the lack of visibility on the roadway, when a following Ford Tempo that was unable to respond in time, crashed into the rear of the Accord. A following third vehicle, a Ford Explorer, was also unable to respond in time and ran into the rear of the Tempo.
The passengers in the Tempo were transported to Bassett Hospital.
Cedarville and Richfield Springs Fire Departments responded. The road was closed for a short time in order for clean up. The accident is being investigated.
