Woman And Three Children Struck Crossing Street

A woman and three young children attempting to cross a Brockton street were hit by a van Tuesday afternoon, seriously injuring three of them, according to police.

The family was crossing the intersection of Main and Huntington Streets at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday when they were struck by the van.

The Plymouth District Attorney’s office says 6-year-old Angel Mitchell and 3-year-old Christopher Mitchell were airlifted by helicopter from the accident scene to hospital in Boston. Angel Mitchell suffered critical injuries.

28-year-old Cindy Mitchell and 4-year-old Valentino Mitchell were transported to an area hospital. Cindy Mitchell suffered serious injuries.

According to authorities, 48-year-old Pierre Jeudy of Brockton was driving the van. No charges have been filed as of yet. The accident is under investigation.
