Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident
A woman suffered injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Mt. Carmel Friday afternoon.
Nellie M. Bobbitt, 74, of Owensville, Indiana, was driving a 2000 Pontiac that was stopped on West 3rd Street about to turn onto Poplar when she was rear-ended by a 2005 Pontiac driven by Camie M. Greer, 19, of Mt. Carmel around 2 p.m. Friday.
The impact pushed Bobbitt’s vehicle into a yard. She was transported to Wabash General Hospital for treatment for injuries sustained in the crash.
Greer refused medical treatment. She was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
