Woman Killed in “Alcohol-Related” Collision
A woman was killed in what is being called an “alcohol-related” crash in Wyandotte, Oklahoma Wednesday evening.
Gerri Drake, 48, was a passenger in a 2000 Dodge Durango traveling northbound on Dakota Road when the Durango was struck by an eastbound 1981 GMC pickup truck driven by Calvin Yarbrough, of Joplin. Yarbrough allegedly ran a red light while attempting to make a left turn onto Highway 43 when the collision occurred at approximately 6:07 p.m. Wednesday.
Drake was transported to Freeman Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Yarbrough was later arrested on probable causes of involuntary manslaughter and driving on a suspended license.
