Woman Killed in Traffic Collision on Bridge

A woman died after she was involved in a traffic collision on the Fremont Bridge in Washington Wednesday morning.

Christine Duffy, 42, was identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office after she was in a head-on collision between an SUV and a van around 11 a.m. Wednesday. Duffy was traveling northbound on the Fremont Bridge when she veered across the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic. She barely struck a mini-van, but then crashed head-on into an oncoming cargo van, reported Seattle police.

Duffy was transported from the accident scene to Harborview Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. The Medical Examiner’s Office reported that the cause of her death has not been determined.

The other two drivers involved were treated at the scene of the collision and then transported to the hospital for further treatment.
