Woman Killed, Man in Critical Condition After Snowmobile Accident

One person was killed and another in the hospital after a snowmobile accident late Sunday night near Onawa, Iowa.

The Monona County Sheriff responded to a call at 2:30 a.m. Monday regarding two snowmobilers that were missing from their home which is located north of Onawa. Around 5:00 a.m. Monday the two were found by rescue crews and were then flown to Crosgrove to Sioux City.

Sandra Dekeyser, 53, of Onawa was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and her son-in-law, Travis Crosgrove, 29, is in critical condition at Mercy Medical Center.

According to a friend of the family, the family of the victims is splitting their time between the hospital and creating funeral arrangements for Sandra.
