Woman May Lose Arm After Car Accident

A woman suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 just north of Council Bluffs Tuesday morning.

A male driver was attempting to pass a semi truck westbound on Interstate 80 when the vehicle clipped the rear, left corner of the semi.

The drivers wife, who was riding in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, injured her arm when the passenger-side door was torn off in the collision, which occurred just before 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The woman was transported to an Omaha hospital where she may lose her arm.
