Woman Suffers Serious Injuries in Roll-Over Accident

A woman suffered devastating injuries Wednesday afternoon in result of a roll-over accident on State Route 115, south of Kalida, Ohio.

Marjorie Carnahan, 66, of Continental, was driving northbound on 115 in a a 2003 Buick LeSabre, when she struck a southbound 2004 Ford Escape, driven by Jeffrey S. McVicker, 45, of Lafayette, Ohio as it swerved left of center at approximately 12:18 p.m., according to the Lima State Highway Patrol.

The collision caused McVicker’s vehicle to flip and come to rest on its roof, according to reports from the Lima State Highway Patrol.

Carnahan was transported by Columbus Grove EMS and McVicker by Kalida Rescue, to St. Rita’s Medical Center of Lima. McVicker suffered non-incapacitating injuries. Carnahan’s passenger, Herbert Hein, 83, was also transported to St. Rita’s by Kalida Rescue with non-incapacitating injuries.

In addition to the rescue squads on the scene, Kalida Fire Department assisted at the site.
