Wrong Way Driver Flees Accident Scene

Police are searching for a hit-and-run vehicle traveling the wrong way on Interstate 90 in Willoughby which caused a two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon.

The vehicle was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 in Willoughby Tuesday afternoon at about 2:30 p.m. Two vehicles traveling eastbound on Interstate 80 swerved in an attempt to avoid a collision with the oncoming vehicle but struck each other instead.
The drivers did not suffer any serious injuries.

The vehicle that was traveling the wrong direction fled the scene. Police are searching for the driver, described as a white male in a gold colored 4-door car.

The accident is under investigation.
