Yankton Teenager Killed in Car Accident

A 17-year-old Yankton boy suffered fatal injuries Monday morning in a two-vehicle rollover accident near Meckling.

Jacob Patrick Adamson, 17, of Yankton, was driving a vehicle westbound on South Dakota Highway 50 near Meckling when he collided with another vehicle around 5 a.m. Monday.

Adamson was taken to Sanford Hospital in Vermillion where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 16-year-old female, and a 17-year-old female passenger in the first vehicle were taken to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton with non life-threatening injuries.

This accident is under investigation.
