Young Woman Killed in Head-On Collision

A young woman was killed in a head-on collision Tuesday on Interstate 890 in Rotterdam, New York.

According to Rotterdam Police, Jessica Sebast, 18, of Schenectady, was driving an SUV on Interstate 890 when she lost control of the vehicle and veered across the center line. Her vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming SUV.

Sebast was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers from Connecticut in the second SUV were transported to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
